Yes I know it looks like a packet of cigarettes, but this 3W High Power Handheld Cell Phone Jammer means business. It can jam all the major mobile phone frequencies, including GSM 900/1800, 3G, CDMA GSM, DCS and PHS. Just for laughs it also blocks the L1 frequency from GPS satellites. Now although it says it’s high power, and 3W is fairly high powered for a handheld transmitter, the range maxes out at about 20 metres. It also has a 1,600mAh battery, but I can’t find how long it lasts, but it will work while it’s charging.
Now if that’s not enough TLA nonsense for you, you can also pick up a version that kills wifi signals (but not GPS). The lengths some people will go to to beat their Farmville addiction. US$208.99 oh and I’m pretty sure these things are illegal in most countries.
Taking use of super-high frequency and mini-power interference technology, high efficiency. Effectively making subsections. Just interfering downlink and no interception on the base station. Extreme portability. The weight for machine itself and antenna are just 0.35KG.

I could almost see some businesses trying to make a case for these to keep employees from texting and/or phoning when they should be working. Maybe even schools. Not sure about any legalities.
