Mini LED projectors are everywhere these days, but they only display whatever you attach to them. Well not anymore. This Mini Projector with Wifi and Wireless Remote, is a mini projector with Linux smarts. For starters it’s a 10 lumen LED pocket projector capable of displaying 640×480 at 1.8 metres wide. It also has a rechargeable battery, good for around 2 hours of use and a wireless multimedia keyboard and a remote  control.

But here’s where it gets good. There’s a USB port and SD card slot for media, as well as an AV RCA cable for analogue inputs and of course b/g wifi for downloading and streaming your media. It can play mpeg1/2/4, avi and xvid videos and mp3, wma and aac audio, and it has a built-in speaker. The Linux OS has a few built-in apps and you can see things like photos, music, videos, internet radio, weather and check your email. Pretty nifty. ~US$267

What?! Wi-Fi?! Ya that is taking it to a whole new level. Very impressive. I really think this one has the potential to get good but 10 lumens for this generation is just not going to cut it. I bought my pico projector last year and it has 33 lumens, the Aaxa P2,http://www.aaxatech.com/products/p2_pico_projecto

I think that the lumens should be going up as time goes on, not down. I will stick with my P2 until something comes out in the 75-100 lumen range. It might just not be possible to fit wi-fi and a powerful projector into the same pocket size package?

The fact that it has a battery power option may also be the reason the light output is lower.
