Waterpebble Water Saver – save water, shower with a gadget fiend

This Waterpebble Water Saver is designed to help you conserve water by timing your showers. Drop it next to your plughole and it’ll incrementally reduce your shower time each morning by showing different colour lights at each stage, until after a few days you’ll be allocated 60% of your usual shower time, soapy hair or not. £12.37 says you’ll sling it in the garbage after 2 weeks (and feel guilty for a month).

Simply place the Waterpebble Water Saver in your shower recess near the drain hole. The Waterpebble senses how much water flows around it – the first time you use it, it sets a benchmark – so the next time you use it, you’ll see soft flashing lights to let you know when you’re time is up! Over a number of showers, the time taken to reach the red flashing light is gradually reduced to two thirds of the original time.
