SnailSync – neat file synchronisation freeware

SnailSync is a small free file synchronisation program which is designed to make it easy to keep files in synch across multiple computers. This is also a useful tool if you have one machine on a slow Net connection and want to keep files up to date on them both without using online file sharing services or software.

The one thing to remember about this type of prgram is the fact that nasty things can happen to important files you want to retain unless you keep track of exactly what’s being written to the target drive. So caveat usor.

SnailSync is the perfect file syncronization tool for distant computers having slow Internet connections. SnailSync quickly finds the differing files and can save them to a single compressed file, which can then be sent on a USB stick via snail mail or by personal travelling.
