The Evaporating Cooling Cap keeps your head cool by…um…evaporating water. Amazing eh? What every kid and his sister knows about soaking your cap in water before you trot out into the desert has now been codified into an actual official product. Wow. $24.95.
The patented fibers in this cap use evaporation to draw heat away in warm weather, keeping your head up to 30º cooler than outside air temperature. The hat is charged by running it under cool water, then wringing out the excess. The cap has hydrophilic and hydrophobic fibers in a three-layer fabric that conducts body heat upwards, while retaining the cool water and releasing it slowly through evaporation. Even while the middle layer holds onto water, your head remains cool and dry thanks to an inner lining that water can’t permeate.
If the guy above me’s notebook wasnt overheating then they would have stopped and thought about what they were posting. Should have checked out http://notebookcoolingpads.info and bought a cooling pad!
