Free 3D Photo Maker is a freeware program which lets you create 3D images from ordinary digital camera photographs. You need to take two shots of a still scene with 2 inches difference on the horizontal, but once you’ve done that, upload to the computer and let the software take over and create the final photo.
And yes, you will need those special anaglyph glasses to get the full effect, (make your own) but just think how you can one-up the neighbours when you invite them over to view your vacation slide show and hand them the glasses at the door. Gives a whole new meaning to the word ennui.
The program is extremely simple in its usage. In order to create a 3D image, you need to take two shots of a still set object captured with a small horizontal shift. Usually the distance must be about 2-3 inches to have the right scene. Both shots are inserted into the program and next second a 3D image is created in the location which you define on your PC. Please note that in order to watch the output 3D picture it is necessary to use stereo anaglyph glasses.
