Dance Mat Typing – BBC taps out a free typing tutor type

Dancemattyping

Dance Mat Typing is a BBC typing tutor designed to be a fun way for youngsters to learn how to type. There’s a bundle of quirky graphics, music and vocal guides to help move the thing along, and while it’s no Mavis Beacon, it’ll do nicely for a free starter.

Why learn to touch type? When you can do it well, touch typing is the fastest way to write. Many people can soon learn to touch type faster than they can write with a pen.
