Karaobird – freeware turns your browser and YouTube into a Karaoke machine

Karaobird is a free Firefox addon that turns your web browser into a Karaoke machine. Just visit a YouTube video and the lyrics of the song will autoplay alongside, in scrolling fashion, just like a real machine. Of course you don’t get a muted vocal track, so you’re screaming your version over the top of the original, but it’s still g.o.o.d f.u.n.

The scrolling works pretty well, although you’ll need to concentrate to read the print sometimes. You can switch off the auto-scroll and use  spacebar/mouse tap to advance lyrics as the song progresses, and one cool thing is you can add or edit lyrics if you think they’re incorrect.

Modern tracks are pretty well represented, but it’s harder to find the lyrics for older songs, so bad luck Beatles fans, eh? Still a very cool plugin indeed. Oh and works with Chrome too! [Via]

It automatically display a karaoke like lyrics you youtube music. The lyrics are updated every minute. If no karaoke like lyrics is found, you can change a formal text lyric to a karaoke like lyrics by only a few clicks.
