Had a quick play around with a Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet computer yesterday evening, courtesy of the good folk at 3 UK. And?
Well it has a nice feel to it. Solidly built. Great capacitive screen, very responsive, Android 2.2 is fast, and the screen is high enough resolution to make things like browsing and GPS maps a pleasure.

The 3G data worked extremely well, snappy and the ebook reader worked a treat. Add in multitouch zoom, twin cameras (1 x 3.0 megapixel), HD and Flash video (excellent) and full access to the Android market for apps and games. All in all a nice bit of kit, although the accelerometer was a bit over twitchy at times, resulting in unwanted screen orientation switches.
I’m still not a huge tablet fan though. Still too restricted in use, too big for the pocket and not enough added value over a good netbook. But the fact that this one sported standard USB sockets and a standard microSD slot made it easier to understand why someone would want one as an oversized mobile phone. The price needs to be competitive to make these things compelling though.
With 3G HSPA connectivity, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 3.0, the Samsung GALAXY Tab enhances users’ mobile communication on a whole new level. Video conferencing and push email on the large 7-inch display make communication more smooth and efficient. For voice telephony, the Samsung GALAXY Tab turns out to be a perfect speakerphone on the desk, or a mobile phone on the move via Bluetooth headset.
The latest samsung galaxy tab looks impressive it seems that just about every company now has it’s own Computer tablet. i havent made up my mind weather to get a ipad tablet or some other tab. However i must admit that the Samsung is pritty seductive. Brian from the United kingdom
