EyesRelax is a neat little freeware program which you can use to set up timed reminders to stop you over straining your eyes with computer work. The software will play a sound and you can set it up to blank the screen, show a photo of your choice, or pop up a text reminder to get you to step away from your desk and go grab a beverage or something.

If you want to be really Ninja, set up a password locked timer, give it to your other half and when the screen blanks you won’t be able to override the system until they enter in the password. Harsh but effective. A nice little health aid which could improve your well-being in a very direct way.

Eyes Relax is a tool that reminds you about taking those breaks. It a very flexible utility, which allows you to specify two independent (short and long) work periods, the length of the breaks, break types, notification sounds and many other settings.
