Satechi Sound Fly BT FM Transmitter Player – top class accessory makes every Bluetooth phone car friendly

Soundflybtfmplayer3

The Satechi Sound Fly BT FM Transmitter Player is an all in one Bluetooth unit that wirelessly connects your mobile phone to your car stereo for hands-free calling and music playback. So far so normal. What makes this unit stand out is a) Versatility. The SD card slot means you can use the unit as a standalone WMA/MP3 music player without hassling with your mobile. Just put your music on the card, plug the card into the slot, tune your car radio to the right frequency and press play.

As for b) the product offers great sound quality via the FM transmitter, which means less of the hiss and crackle and more crystal clear. It also comes with a handy extra USB port on the side, so you can charge your USB phone or satnav from the same power socket while still enjoying Bluetooth handsfree goodness. To top it off, there’s a remote control which is very handy to control all the various playback and answer functions without taking your eye off the road.

One negative I should mention is the fact that the unit relies on an external mic for voice calls, rather than having an internal microphone a la products such as the Jabra 700. It makes it less of a neat solution with a cable running around the vehicle, but on the other hand there’s no need for a power cable, so I guess it evens out somewhat. All in all a pretty neat product. $69.99.

Soundfly BT is pairable with any phone equipped with Bluetooth functionality or a connection to a Bluetooth adaptor. Bluetooth A2DP technology enables wireless transmission of music from your cell phone. If an incoming or outgoing call is made, the music will be paused. The transmission of music will resume automatically when the call is ended. Soundfly BT also lets you listen to sound files such as MP3 & WMA file stored in portable SD cards through your car radio speakers.
