Chumby One Bipedal Walker – or how to hack your bedside buddy

chumbyonewalker Chumby One Bipedal Walker or how to hack your bedside buddy

For those who don’t remember, the Chumby One is a cool little Internet connected media and information device which stands out as a consumer appliance because of its open source roots. Of course open source means hackable, and sure enough, here’s a neat little walking robot called the Chumby Walker based on the unit. Very cool indeed.

The control code is RobotSee/Linux, it’s totally autonomous and the processor is Freescale. So, can your bedside alarm clock do this?

A YouTube video originally posted on imxcommunity.org of a chumby One that he turned into a bipedal walker. This has got to be the most omgwtfbbq-cool robotics demo I’ve seen of the chumby One to date.
