Ferrari World to wow theme park lovers

Ferrari World 1

If you’ve ever longed to drive a fast muscle car, you may get your chance soon, at least a smaller fun version. Ferrari World Theme Park – a cool idea long on the drawing board, is due to open its doors shortly.

Ferrari World Formula Rossa roller coaster

Located in Abu Dhabi, its more than 20 rides and attractions include the world’s fastest roller coaster, the Formula Rossa – made up, of course, of red Ferrari-looking “cars” – will propel riders up to 240 km/h (149mph) in just five seconds. Another cool ride is the spaceshot tower which will shoot thrill seekers 62m (203 ft) into the air. Having ridden a similar attraction elsewhere, I can vouch for the awesome heart-stopping power and sheer FUN of this ride!

The indoor theme park’s a 200,000 square meter (2,200,000 sq ft) roof is fashioned after – what else? – the largest Ferrari logo ever. Enclosing fantastic features that include he world’s largest Ferrari gallery outside Maranello, showcasing an exclusive range of classic and contemporary Ferrari’s from all over the world to a Junior Grand Prix and a Carousel made up of never-seen-before Ferrari prototypes, this theme park is DEFINITELY a must-go-to if you’ve ever wanted to be seen in one of the world’s coolest Formula-1 cars.
