Miniature race cars have been around pratically forever, but the Renewable Energy Racer Set goes beyond the norm.
Each of these mini-racers is powered by a different renewable energy – one by a mini-wind turbine, one by a small solar panel and the thrid by a hydrogen fuel cell. These racers are a great educational tool to teach your kids about sustainable energy parading as pure fun!
It only takes a 10-30 minute charge form the wind or solar versions to last 20 minutes of racing time. The fuel cell offers five minutes of run time from a three-minute charge. The kit comes with a remote control with simple controls, a 10 foot range and it can be used to give the cars a one-minute charge when natural resources aren’t readily available. There’s even a manual to explain the science involved. For added fun, the cars are interchangable with each energy source.
The racers are rated for ages 5 and up, but guess what age will REALLY want to play with them! Priced at $89.95.
These are the remote controlled racecars that are powered by three different renewable energy sources. With a miniature windmill, solar panel, and hydrogen fuel cell, this set demonstrates the possibilities that wind, sun and water present for sustainable energy. The wind and solar stations provide up to 20 minutes of racing time from a 10-30 minute charge, depending on wind speed and brightness of the sun; the hydrogen fuel cell provides five minutes of run time from a three-minute charge.
