The SeaSucker Bike Rack

SeaSucker-2

Anyone who’s ever mounted a rear-end bicycle rack on their car knows that it’s almost always a struggle to fit it on just right. The new SeaSucker Bike Rack makes it simple and easy to do.

This product is a variation on SeaSucker’s marine-based products that are used to attach things to boats like fly rods and diving racks.

Using rubber vacuum cups instead of suction cups is the key to the bike rack’s dependability. Suction cups are notoriously unreliable. Vacuum cups, on the other hand, stick to glass and smooth surfaces using a built-in pump. Installing the rack is easy too. Just moisten the under side of each cup, then click the pump button to produce suction. To remove the cups, lift the tab to release the air.

It the cups begin to loose suction, a red line will appear as a warning. These racks come rooftop, hatchback, trunk, or pick-up bed configurations and, depending on the model, can hold up to three bikes safely. There’s also a traditional bicycle frame clamp attached to a mount that sucks onto a wall.

For prices ranging from $146.99 to $629.99US, sounds like a cool Christmas gift for your favorite cyclist.

  • This item really tests the quality of your windows and paint job. With my orange-peel, there's no way it'll stick on my car. :P
