Photojojo brings back the Polaroid Instant Camera

Technology is amazing these days, isn’t it? Being in my mid-20’s, I fee like I’ve gotten to experience a very interesting transitional period. When I was younger, the personal computer was just becoming something that people could actually afford, and I was able to see a period where almost no one carried cell phones. These days it’s hard to find anyone without both of those devices. Something else I remember is Polaroid cameras.

Now I know that you can still find such relics, but they’re going to be second-hand novelties. However, when I was a child, that was the only way to take a picture and actually be able to see it right away. These days we need only take out our cell phones to get the same instant photo gratification. A few seconds later you can even have a print. Well if you’re feeling nostalgic and wanting to buy a Polaroid camrea, you can either hit up eBay and hope you land one in good condition, or you can buy a refurbished unit from Photojojo.

These cameras are currently the closest things you’re going to find to a a new instant-film device on the market. If you’re familiar with the models, they are offering up the Original SX-70, Rainbow OneStep and the Sun 660 Sonar. You can buy each of these in a fancy box with a pack of PX 600 film (8 shots) for a whopping $200. Apparently I’m not quite old enough to want to drop that kind of money on an aged camera when I can whip out my phone and take a decent shot for free.
