Kitting is one of those hobbies that takes a lot of time. First, you have to take all of the time to learn how to do it, then actually crafting something can take ages. Of course, you could always take another route and build a machine that could do all of the work for you. That’s exactly what one person decided to do.
Made from some old scrap parts he had lying around and a special Picaxe-18x microcontroller, the creator was able to assemble a machine that could knit a basic pattern. All you need to do is take some of those pieces, and form them into whatever you like (or just leave it as one long piece and call it a scarf). The real question is if you give a sweater that was mostly made by this machine, does it still count as hand-crafted?
