If you’ve seen TRON, then you’re no doubt familiar with the Light Cycle. But what about the TRON Skatecycle?I’m going to guess that you haven’t. Why? Because there’s just one of them, and it hasn’t been around very long. A regular Skatecycle is a strange skateboard thing with only two wheels that doesn’t require your feet to push off of the ground in order to propel yourself. The creator of this gadget decided to show off his love for one of his favorite geeky movies by making a one-off version of his invention.

The main difference between the original and TRON versions of the Skatecyle have to do with the blue lights around the wheels. While it may not seem like a lot, the look is iconic enough that people will instantly associate it with the movie. I suppose it doesn’t hurt that there is a renewed interest in the franchise, what with the new one coming out soon and all. If you want one of these for yourself, you’ll have to first get your hands on a regular Skatecycle, then do the modifications yourself.
