This kit gives you everything you need to put together a bike frame constructed from bamboo (as the name implies). That’s not to say that they ship you a few pieces of bamboo that need only attached to one another. You’re going to have to do everything here from shaping to cutting. In the end you will have a bike frame that was made from start to finish with your bare hands.

You will need to supply the bamboo (or you can order it from them) along with all of the other standard bicycle components. The basic kit itself will run you around $500. That’s a lot of money for just the necessary tools to make a frame. However, the pride you’ll get from building your own custom bike is priceless.
