This Web Tube television to internet converter box plugs into the HDMI socket of your television and hooks up to the Internet via WiFi or Ethernet cable. Result? Your TV is now a flat screen Internet lovin’ animal of a device. You get a web browser, a remote control and an on-screen keyboard for navigating yourself around teh global World Wide Webs.
Resolution is 720p, which ain’t bad, and it copes with YouTube video delivery (although if you’ve ever experienced generic YouTube content on a large screen telly, you’ll be less than thrilled with that bit of news). Priced at $199.95.
The television’s screen displays a proprietary web browser that uses a virtual keyboard controlled from the included remote. In addition to displaying the time, weather, and calendar, the screen also includes bookmarks for popular websites such as YouTube and Google Maps. Content is displayed at 720p resolution, ideally suited for high-definition LCD televisions
