Dyson DC35 is good for the small tasks, not much else

I may be a bit of a clean freak as I fantasize about getting a Dyson vacuum for Christmas. The fact that I won’t have to destroy another vacuum that starts spitting out dirt because it lost suction again is an appealing idea. That being said, I don’t think that this DC35 Digital Slim dust buster vacuum is worth its salt. When I have to vacuum anything up, I would like to go back to the same device, not one that can only do a few tasks.

This design can hardly pick up cornflakes unless you move slowly, which is really annoying to do since you’re already upset that you spilled them.  It only has a 10-15 minute battery life, and will take hours to charge back up again. Plus, you can’t even use it while it’s charging.  This is only meant to be a dust-buster type vacuum, but why waste $300, when you could just buy a good full-size vacuum and not worry about the rest of the dust in the house?
