You know what my TV remote needs? A QWERTY keyboard. There was a time not so long ago when that prospect was laughable. Unless you were talking about WebTV, though consequently that too, was pretty humorous. These days, TV manufacturers are working to incorporate services like Netflix and Youtube into their products. Thus, the ability to type quickly would make customers much happier.

It looks like Samsung has developed a remote/keyboard hybrid which looks rather ugly. The devices are essentially split up on two sides of the remote. One way it functions like a normal remote control, and on the other you’ve got a QWERTY keyboard complete with number pad and arrow keys. No idea when we’ll see this thing on the market. While it’s not the most attractive device around, if it has universal capabilities, it could be of some use in my living room.
