Make a solar-powered TV remote

In this age of electronic gadgets, it’s always good to do your part to be eco-friendly. It’s not always the easiest of tasks, but it can be fun at times. If you enjoy little DIY projects, then you might like the idea of converting your TV remote to recharge via solar power.

The people over at Make have put together a nice little guide to turn any remote powered by AA or AAA batteries into a solar-charged device. It requires only a few tools and parts to accomplish, so most novice modders out there should be able to do it. Of course, if you want to make it even easier, you could just order the kit, which has taken some of the work out of it for you. The kit will only set you back $18.
