As someone who’s spent a few years as a network administrator, I hate messy cabling jobs. Whenever I’m building a new computer, I’ll take an extra half hour just to make sure that all of the cables are ran in the most neat and tidy fashion possible. The same goes for setting up my entertainment center, or even my desk when I move into a new place. Everything just looks so much better when there aren’t a bunch of wires tangled up together. That’s why I like this Plug Hub.
This isn’t some fancy high-tech solution to your cabling issues. In fact, it’s about as low-tech as you get. You’ll have a power strip at the bottom, and three areas in which to wind up your excess cables. A panel swings over to conceal the coiled cables, leaving things looking as neat as possible. Granted, there are issues to address here, such as the ease of changing out a cable, or the annoyance of having a giant power brick plugged in. Overall, I think this $24 solution would do wonders for any office.
