Charging your gear is always a good thing, but when you leave it plugged in, did you know you’re actually still using energy? Even something that’s just plugged into the wall can still soak up some energy if it’s something that’s rechargeable. That’s why the IDAPT i1 Eco charger is here to shut off power to your stuff after it’s all juiced up, thereby being a little more eco-friendly.
The Eco is compatible with over 4,000 devices via interchangeable tips and has a USB output. It comes with three standard tips; an Apple dock connector, mini USB, and a micro USB and has input options of 12V from your vehicle, or 100-240V AC for while traveling. It charges everything from the iPad to your Xbox controllers and GPS systems. It’s made from recycled materials and works with pretty much every gadget out there. It’s about $30, and will appear in the second quarter of this year.
