Mmm..not sure how long this puppy is going to stay alive, even if they do say correctly that it is just a torrent search engine, but it’s an interesting example of just how easy it would be for the movie industry to start up a really compelling service, earn money and satisfy everyone’s need for instant gratification. Are you listening RIAA? Sigh, of course not.
Torrent Butler is a fancy pants graphical menu and movie information catalogue layered on top of a torrent finder search engine. Click on a movie poster and you’re taken to a useful page with information about the film and an embedded YouTube trailer. Click on the the Torrents button and presto, there’s a handy list of .torrent files for you to use to download instantly (or at least as instantly as BitTorrent allows). The links lead to standard torrent or magnet links out on the Net from all the usual suspects.
Now, this is not a great thing for the movie business as it stands, but imagine it properly licensed and integrated with a simple monthly subscription plan, with or without monthly download limits set according to price. Doesn’t that sound like something worth paying for? Of course it does, and people, probably lots, would pay. Ah well, dreams are nice.
* TorrentButler.com is a meta-search engine. This means we just search other search engines. * TorrentButler.com is not a torrent site, torrent tracker nor a torrent search engine. * TorrentButler.com does not host or “make available” any files or torrents in any way, shape or form. * TorrentButler.com links to other independent search engines that might host torrent files. We have absolutely no control over those domains. * Our indexing process is completely automated. We don’t check or verify the information our crawlers find. Ever. * We dont’t host torrents, and we don’t even download torrents; we just index how search engines have indexed them. * We will gladly remove any links at the request of the copyright owner.
