There’s nothing worse than leaving the house early, only to get stuck in traffic, causing you to be late in arriving at your destination. If you’re lucky, you might flip on the news at the very moment they are announcing a wreck on the very road you were planning to take. However, most of the time you don’t know about the backed up cars until you’re in their midst. If you use Google Maps Navigation on your Android phone, you’re probably used to seeing traffic updates. Well now when you use the app, you’ll be effortlessly guided around the congestion.
Google has released an update for their popular navigation software that will take traffic conditions into account when giving directions. If you’re coming up on an area that is sitting at a standstill, the software will check to see if another route will be faster, then switches you to that route if it is. There’s nothing you need to do to set this up, aside from downloading the update.
