Farewell Zune

For those of you that had any kind of attachment to the Zune, I ask you pull out the black clothes for mourning. Microsoft has finally lain to rest the best alternative to the iPod as it hasnt updated the Zune in about two years. There wasnt much debate over it, since it doesnt have anything that could really put it on the map, such as Angry Birds.

Though they do intend to sell whats left on the shelves, Microsoft will be re-purposing the brand towards multimedia software services. If you wanted one, now is the time because there likely wont be any more after the current stock sells out. Though theres not much that can be done for this snazzy little device, the Zune name will live on through Windows Phone 7 and Xbox 360, so dont be too distraught.
