Doorstop Burglar Alarm uses more than sound to scare intruders

Keeping your home safe can sometimes be hard since todays burglars arent as afraid of loud noises from alarms. Sometimes you have to take home safety to the next level. Things like the Doorstop Burglar Alarm are needed to keep your family safe and sound.

This alarm does have an ear-piercing alarm that will sound off loud enough to wake the neighbors, so its not like you wont know if this alarm goes off. Although I found the best feature of this device is the pepper spray that will blind and throw off any intruder that tries to come to your doorstep. The biggest fear I would have with this is forgetting to turn off the unit when I get home and blasting myself by accident. Getting four ounces of pepper spray that can cover 2,000 sq. ft. does not sound like a fun time. To make sure you dont do this, there is a entry-time delay timer you can set, a key switch, and a manually activated on/off switch to prevent you from harm. This will run off of two C batteries for up to four years, so even if the power is out, youll still have protection for your home. This costs about $600, but will ensure that any burglar who is bold enough to set foot on your doorstep will quickly regret it.

  • Dosen't seem very fool proof. An intruder could just put a piece of duct tape over the spray area couldn't they????

  • Not in this scenario. Here, the intruder only has a torn ski mask and .32 dollars in change.
