Verbatim Store ‘n’ Go flash drives are about as small as they can get

Flash drives are great, aren’t they? The little devices can hold a large amount of data, without taking up a lot of room. Well Verbatim seems to think that they need to be even smaller, because even ones that are an inch or two long are inconvenient. Their new Store ‘n’ Go USB Car Audio Storage drives are tiny, and meant to be as unobtrusive as possible.

These little drives are about the same size as the receivers you’ll find on a lot of laptop mice these days. When inserted, it only sticks out a mere 7.7mm. This means you can leave it plugged in a laptop while you put it in a carrying case, or as the company intends, leave it in your car’s stereo without worrying that it will get bumped and broken. An 8GB drive is going to set you back around $25, with larger ones costing more, naturally.
