goVideos is a really simple idea, which actually works. This freeware program provides nothing more than a super easy front end for YouTube videos, which lets you browse and instantly watch content in various categories with one click of the mouse.

It sounds weird and a bit useless, but actually it works. Think of it as an instant meme watcher if nothing else, since the Most Viewed set gives you a global snapshot of all the top playing videos on YouTube at the time. Then there are categories like Recipes (yum, right?), Fitness, Animals (aww cute kitties) etc. You get the picture.

It’s a quick download and install, doesn’t display any naff adverts apart from the standard YT ones, comes with a great search box and a pop up  player which defaults to a nice big size for seeing the content as it should be seen. If you’re a YouTube fan (and who isn’t nowadays?) then you’re gonna enjoy this. It’s going to stay on my hard disk for some time methinks.
