SemiSilent only rings for calls you want to take

There are times when our phones help us talk to someone when its important, and other times when some random person calls you while youre trying to sleep. Its not surprising that most of us out there wish that we could find a way to only let some people call us during certain times. With SemiSilent, you can now screen your calls in a whole new way.

This app will let you pick people in your contact list that you will allow to contact you. Anyone who doesnt make the cut will not even set off the ringer on your phone. These calls will be politely and silently trafficked to voicemail. You can set special ringtones for different people, but being able to weed out who has the priority on your contact list is pretty nice. This app is free for Android users, and is great for those of us going into interviews, are on call, or just dont want to be bothered unless we have to be.

  • those that are determined can do this with the tools already available in google voice. I bump everyone to my voicemail already … unless they are on my whitelist maintained in google's contact manager.

since I'm using a Palm Pre the presence of an app unless a WebOS app really doesn't apply anyway.
