We’re a bit reluctant to feature too many Kickstarter projects here because there’s no guarantee they’ll actually make it into production, but this one is fully over-funded already, and it’s extremely cool. B-Squares is a modular solar electronics kit based around an ingenious magnetic clip format, which lets you create neat projects without all that nasty soldering or wiring.

The solar panels can be clipped together in various combinations to output different voltages etc, and there are some nice optional panels like an Arduino computer module, a rechargeable battery panel and more. If they can get the design right, this little product is going to sell like hot cakes when it’s finally released. The team has already reached the funding goal, so expect to see the kits hit the shelves in a few months.
