When you’re working on a project with a lot of detail, sandpaper can be your friend. It helps to file down an uneven surface until it is nice and smooth. Unfortunately if you’re working on something with a lot of small details, it can be difficult and time-consuming to use just a tiny bit of sandpaper on a small area. However, using an old electric toothbrush, you can make a great detail sander for next to nothing.

The idea behind this simple DIY project is that you can use the vibrating head from the toothbrush to sand down paint and such. The only things you need to make this happen are an old electric toothbrush, a pair of scissors, adhesive and some sandpaper. In just a few minutes, you’ll have a great little detail sander that cost next to nothing.
