Just when you thought you might be bored of GarageBand on your iPad, there comes along a new way to play. Seeing as using a real set of drumsticks or a pick on screen could prove to be a little harmful to the glass (and they wouldn’t be affective anyway), you might want to look into Pix & Stix. This is a much more gentle, but effective way to play the drums and all electronic instruments on your tablet.

These may seem a little frivolous at $16, but we all buy frivolous things if it will make our music making or gaming experience better. You’ll likely have a lot more fun using weighted sticks and a real pick to play music than just poking at the screen. From an outside perspective, you may look a little crazy, but hey, at least you’ll be having fun.
