NES Advantage Lamp re-purposes that old joystick

There are gamers out there that likely still remember the NES Advantage that was basically a giant joystick for the classic 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System. Whether or not you prefer them to today’s controllers, you’ve got to know that there are hundreds if not thousands of this classic controllers in the trash or on their way there.

If you prefer to instead commemorate this controller, you can head over to Recycled Retro Gear’s Etsy and buy the NES Advantage Lamp for $20.99. To some this may be sacrilege, but honestly, what are you going to do with your controller in the years to come? It’s better that you remember it fondly and use it all the time instead of letting it collect dust in a forgotten box somewhere. It seems that only the joystick has been removed to make room for the lamp, and everything else is in it’s former glory. Although the lampshade is a little boring to look at, it still works, and that’s the important part.
