Use HardlyWork.in to browse Facebook covertly at work

I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook. I was behind the curve in even getting an account, mostly because despite my love of the internet, I really didn’t feel the need to be that connected to so many people. Unfortunately, I found that many people would rather simply post a status update than actually tell people about somewhat important events. Thus, I created an account, and spend more time than is necessary browsing the site. Thankfully, I can do it at work, whenever I want. However, there are many people who aren’t able to do this.

If your company has decided that they don’t want you spending time on Facebook, then there is an alternative for you to look into. I’m not going to go into the ethics of browsing a site like this while at work. If, for whatever reason, you decide that you want to check status updates badly enough, you can use HardlyWork.in. This site will present your status feed in an Excel spreadsheet. Thus, to the untrained eye, it will simply look like you are working hard on something. So not only are you getting around your network policy restrictions, but you’re fooling anyone that actually sees what you’re doing. You can even hit the space bar to be taken to a real spreadsheet. Just remember to use this at your own risk.

  • Screw around at work and you deserve to be looking for a job. You're not paid to be on Facebook. My motto in business was, "Be worth more than you're making and you'll always get ahead''. I NEVER had to ask for a raise and ALWAYS got one – every year. Of course, I wasn't in a union.
