Build your own floating waterproof speakers

Have you ever been out swimming in a pool or lake, and wished that you had some good tunes to complement your great day? If there is a flat, steady surface nearby, then you won’t have too much trouble finding the means to get music to your ears. However, if all you have is water around you, there’s going to be a bit more work involved. Thankfully, it’s not a ton of work, as you can create your own floating waterproof speaker out of fairly common items.

One Instructables user put together this floating speaker using an old paint bucket, some speakers, duct tape and a few other items. It might not be the best-looking thing you’ll see on the lake, but it sill looks pretty great. The best part is that since most of the necessary components can be found around the house, you won’t have to spend a lot of money on this project.
