The Timekeeper Steampunk computer

There’s something wonderful about old clocks. Rather than just having a small plastic box holding all of the moving parts, there are large gears that you can see moving around to make it tick. You can generally even hear the mechanical ticking, which is music to my ears. Well one person that shares my love for clocks and decided to cram a computer inside of one.

This vintage-looking clock (sadly, it doesn’t appear to actually be vintage), dubbed The Timekeeper is actually a fully-functional Windows 7 computer. It doesn’t have the latest specs, but the Athlon 64 Dual core 4400+ CPU and and 2GB of RAM will handle most of your everyday needs. What it does have is an amazing look to it. My only concern there is with the optical drive, which looks very out of place at the bottom. I think a slot-loading drive would have been more aesthetically pleasing. Then again, a price lower than $1099 would have been pleasing to the wallet as well.
