H2O Interval Swim System lets you use your iPod Shuffle underwater

Having speakers by your pool is great when you’re lounging in the water, but it does little good if you’re actually swimming. What you need is a music player that will work underwater. Now I’ve seen a number of solutions on the market, but my biggest complaint is that you need to purchase an entirely new MP3 player just for the pool. Why not use your existing player? That is exactly what this H2O Interval Swim System does.

Rather than forcing you to buy a new player, this system allows you to use your iPod Shuffle underwater. This device is essentially a waterproof case that clips onto your goggle straps. It has simple buttons that allow you to perform all of the same functions, without needing to physically touch (and likely ruin) your Shuffle. Also included are a pair of earbuds that are designed so sit flush against your ear, resulting in less drag. The whole system is going to set you back around $81 (or $130, depending on which model Shuffle you have), so you’ll have to be a dedicated swimmer to get your money’s worth.
