I love this idea. You know how much of a hassle it can sometimes be to log on to a WiFi network in your friend’s house or office? Mostly because if they’re not techie oriented they never remember the password?
Well all they’ve got to do is use this WiFi Joiner Android program to create a QR code with all the details, and then when anyone visits they can just take a bar code scan and the settings are automagically installed onto the phone. Instant network connection.

The amount of times I’ve had to scrabble around under desks or in awkward places to try and recover some obscure password stuck to the back of a router/modem. This is a great way to avoid all that. It’s also perfect for places that offer public WiFi like cafes etc. Awesome!
Generating QR codes is very easy. 1) Open WifiJoiner. Press menu button and select create. 2) Just select an already configured network on your device in the app WifiJoiner or enter a name for a new one. 3) Enter the password 4) Tap “Generate QR code” 5) Done. You can now share this QR code via the convenient share button or even email it to yourself to take a print out of it and hang it on a wall at your home. Joining a network at friend’s house: 1) Scan the QR code they have in WifiJoiner 2) Tap Connect. 3) Done. No network selection. No password.
