Specialist Solo tent weighs just over a pound

If you’re going camping, you might want to pack a nice big tent and tons of supplies to make your life easier in the wild. That’s pretty easy to do if you’re just driving to the campsite and unloading. However, if you’re planning on hiking to your destination, you’ll want to pack as light as possible. With this Specialist Shelter from Sea To Summit, you can be sure that you’re carrying the lightest tent possible.

Weighing in as just 22 ounces, this 1 person tent (there is a 2 person version that weighs 29 ounces) is made from an ultra lightweight waterproof breathable nylon fabric. The poles and pegs are made from 7075 alloy, and you can even forgo the poles in favor of using your own trekking poles in their place. This will shave off almost 4 ounces from the total weight. Unfortunately light weight doesn’t mean a light price. The Solo version will set you back $430, while the Duo will fetch $500.
