Every once in a while there comes a time when you suddenly need to do something, but lack the proper tools to do so. When that happens, you have to channel MacGuyver, and improvise. Lets say that you are in desperate need of a good cup of Joe, but you’re all out of roasted coffee beans. We’ll also assume that for some reason or another, you actually have green coffee beans. As long as you have a hot air popcorn popper and a metal colander, you can roast your own beans.

This is one of those activities that I only see certain people actually doing on a regular basis. Namely, people who are extremely particular about the coffee they drink, and will go to great lengths to get it just right.
