These days it seems like people are giving their kids access to technology at a very early age. Of course, part of that has to do with how inexpensive computers and gadgets have become. I still think that there is a lot to be learned by playing with old-fashioned toys and using your imagination. Which is why I’m amused by this My First Wooden Laptop.
This strange-looking laptop is actually just a fold-up chalkboard. The design is actually perfect, as you get your screen and keyboard to draw on, and the trackpad holds all of your chalk. The best part is that it folds up, just like a real laptop, and thus keeps your chalk from falling out. The only thing I don’t really care for is the $55 price tag, which I think is a bit excessive for something like this.
