4-BIT Binary Watch is subtly geeky

When you’re a geek, you have two options. Either you can advertise that you’re a geek, and deck yourself out in clothes and accessories that say as much, or you can play it down and try to fit in with the rest of the crowd. Normally, I go with the former, as I’m a proud geek. However, there are times where I need to look more professional, so the geek attire is left in the closet. If I still wanted to show off my love of technology in a subtle way, I might wear this 4-BIT Binary Watch.

I’ve seen plenty of binary watches in the past, but they usually involve LEDs lighting up to display the time in binary. Those watches are far from being subtle. This one looks just like any other ordinary watch, with your same hour, minute and second hands. The difference is that the numbers are represented by four bits. You don’t actually need to read binary to tell the time, but it still adds a nice geeky touch. You can usually get one for around $90, but right now they’re having a sale, because a few times this month the date will read in binary (all ones and zeros), so it’s only $67.50.
