If your town has a good public transportation system, you might find yourself on a bus regularly. That’s the case where I live, as most of the college students find it much easier than trying to find parking at the university. Sometimes you might be on the bus for 20-30 minutes, and if you’re generally low on free time, you might use this as an opportunity to nap. But what if you sleep through your stop? With BusChecker, you don’t have to worry about that any longer.
This app lets you pick your bus stop, then uses your iPhone’s GPS signal to detect when you’ve arrived at your destination. An alarm will sound, ensuring that you wake up and disembark the bus, rather than sleep through your stop. The app will set you back $3, and currently only covers the London area. No word on whether it will be ported to other devices, or made available for other areas.
Pretty useless app.
If you've ever ridden a bus, you'd know that you need ample time to ring your stop. A more practical and more useful app would one that can track where each bus is.
