12019 Bionic Bopper Cars are the Richie Rich version of Rock Em Sock Em Robots

Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots have been around for decades, and are easily one of the more iconic toys in history. I remember having a set when I was a kid, and attempting to kock the head off of my brother’s red bot (blue was way better). Naturally, being the imaginative kids that we were, we always thought it would be cool to have life-size robots that we could use to do battle in a similar fashion. It appears that dream has become reality.

These Bionic Bopper Cars are essentially a combination between bumper cars and Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots. You will actually climb inside your bot, and maneuver it forward, backward and rotating to each side, at around 3mph. As for the combat part, you have two arms, and you want to hit the head just right. When you do, your hit will be tallied on a display on the other bot. These battery-powered machines can go for up to 5 hours on a single charge, which means you can host entire tournaments without needing to stop. Of course, for $17,000, you’ll need to charge people just to look at them.
