Auto Hide Desktop Icons makes your desktop look less cluttered

There’s nothing quite so embarrassing as someone stopping by your house, only to find it a complete mess. For me, the same thing applies to a messy desktop on my computer. I do my best to keep it free of clutter, but after a few weeks of nonstop work, it can look like a disaster to those who might peek at it. If you want to be able to have those icons strewn about, yet have it appear to be neat and tidy, you can have the best of both worlds with Auto Hide Desktop Icons.

This little piece of freeware will allow you to hide all of the icons on your desktop after a user-specified period of time. For instance, if you haven’t clicked on anything on your desktop in 60 seconds (and you’ve been browsing online, or doing something else), when you minimize everything, your desktop will be as clear as the driven snow. But with a click, everything will be right back where you left it.
