If you’re a gamer with a Windows 7 phone, you’ve no doubt enjoyed the ability to access your Xbox Live account from it. Well now it would seem that those with a Windows phone are no longer in an exclusive club. Those with iOS devices can now download the My Xbox Live app.

This app adds similar functionality that has already been available to Windows phone users for some time now. You’ll be able to go in and customize your avatar, send messages to friends, check your achievements and view Xbox news. Now if you’re feeling blue about iPhone users getting access to your exclusive software, don’t fret. Windows phone users can now control certain functions on their Xbox 360 right from their phone. You should be able to control almost everything except for actually playing games. After all, a smartphone is no replacement for an actual controller.
