WanderPlayer turns your smartphone into a game controller for your PC [Daily Freeware]

There’s always a huge debate as to whether PC’s or consoles are better for playing video games. I lean toward PCs for a variety of reasons. One of my favorite reasons is the abundance of free games. After all, not spending money is one of my favorite activities. But some games just don’t feel right with a mouse and keyboard. You long to have a controller sitting in your hands. If you don’t own a compatible one, then that means spending money. Well, unless you have a smartphone and the right piece of freeware, that is.

Using WanderPlayer (along with the server app for your Mac or PC), you can turn your touchscreen phone into a virtual controller. What’s more, the app already has a large list of free games that it works with, so it saves you the trouble of finding them. The app is still in beta, so as time goes on, you should see a larger list of games that it will work with. The best part (aside from being free) is that the app is available for both iOS and Android phones.

  • Make an App for all Samsung phones (ie Samsung Flight II) that allows us to play the wii with our phone. At least that way, the battery will last longer and we wont have to drop the controller when someone calls.
